Privacy Policy for BeYourCover
Last updated March 24, 2026
BeYourCover processes account data, prompts, book materials, and generated assets so we can provide AI-assisted cover generation, editing, upscaling, wrap exports, API access, and related support. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how we share and protect it.
Information We Collect
We collect information directly from you, automatically through your use of the service, and from service providers involved in delivering the platform.
- Account and profile data, such as your name, email address, authentication identifiers, OAuth or magic-link login metadata, and account preferences.
- Book and project information, such as book titles, subtitles, author names, genres, summaries, blurbs, trim and print settings, and other metadata you provide.
- Prompt and generation data, including raw prompts, adapted prompts, prompt history, model selections, job parameters, and generation logs.
- Uploaded and generated assets, including source images, edited images, variations, text-free images, audiobook covers, upscaled files, wrap-cover assets, and exported PDFs.
- Billing and subscription information, such as plan selection, transaction identifiers, purchase records, credit balances, subscription status, and limited payment metadata provided by Stripe.
- Communications and support data, such as support messages, contact-form submissions, and marketing-consent or unsubscribe records.
- Technical and usage data, such as IP address, browser type, device information, cookies, analytics identifiers, affiliate or referral identifiers, error logs, and feature-usage events.
How We Use Information
We use personal information to provide, operate, secure, and improve the service. This includes authenticating users, generating and editing assets, exporting files, processing payments, enforcing limits and credits, providing support, sending service emails, measuring performance, preventing abuse, and complying with legal obligations.
Where permitted, we may also use limited usage and event data to understand product performance, attribute referrals, prevent fraud, and improve the quality of prompts, workflows, and generated outputs.
AI Processing and User Content
Your prompts, book details, uploaded images, and related content may be sent to AI and storage providers to generate, edit, upscale, analyze, store, cache, and deliver outputs. This can include intermediate processing steps, moderation, prompt adaptation, image analysis, and export preparation.
Because AI systems and storage providers may process content outside your country, your data may be transferred internationally as described below. You should not submit personal data or confidential material that you do not want processed by our providers unless doing so is necessary and lawful for your use case.
Legal Bases for Processing
Depending on where you are located, our legal bases for processing may include performing a contract with you, pursuing legitimate interests such as securing and improving the service, complying with legal obligations, and relying on consent where required, such as for certain marketing communications.
How We Share Information
We share information with service providers and subprocessors only as reasonably necessary to operate the platform, process payments, authenticate users, deliver emails, store assets, monitor performance, and run AI workflows.
- Supabase for authentication, database storage, and account/session management.
- Stripe for checkout, billing, subscription management, and payment processing.
- OpenAI, Anthropic, Replicate, FAL, and Google or GenAI services for prompt processing, image generation, editing, analysis, and related AI workflows.
- Google Cloud Vision or similar analysis services for image understanding and quality checks where enabled.
- Cloudflare R2 and related storage or delivery services for hosting uploaded and generated assets, including wrap exports and PDFs.
- Vercel and Vercel Speed Insights for application hosting, delivery, and performance telemetry.
- Sentry for error monitoring and troubleshooting.
- DataFast and Affonso for analytics, attribution, and affiliate or referral measurement.
- Resend for transactional or marketing email delivery.
- Google OAuth providers and magic-link infrastructure where you choose those sign-in methods.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, to investigate abuse or fraud, or in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or asset sale.
Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain your account, operate paid features, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and comply with legal obligations. Retention periods vary depending on the type of data, the feature you use, whether the data is tied to active assets or billing records, and our legitimate operational needs.
If you request deletion, we may retain limited records where necessary for security, fraud prevention, tax, accounting, legal compliance, or backup restoration purposes.
International Transfers
Our providers and infrastructure may process or store information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections, provider commitments, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights and Choices

- Object to or request restriction of certain processing where applicable law provides that right.
- Withdraw consent for marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in the message or by contacting us.

Marketing and Analytics

We also use analytics and attribution tools to understand product usage, performance, referral activity, and campaign effectiveness. These tools may rely on cookies, referral identifiers, or similar technologies.
Children's Privacy
The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate steps.
